The SwarRas
School of Music

Swarras School of Music was started on January 21 2015. As the name suggests, the main aim of this school is to make the students experience the Rasa, that is the mood that each Swar or a musical note conveys through the various frequencies of sound.

The goal of Swarras School of Music is threefold. Firstly, impart training to students in Hindustani vocal and harmonium with a solid curriculum based structure.

Secondly, make each and every student realize the effort that it takes to learn this art form and thus, not just make their own efforts in terms of regular practice but also truly appreciate the efforts of others performing this music.

Finally, the learning process should be totally enjoyable to every student whereby they feel more and more motivated to continue to learn. It should act as a stress buster for them which in turn could help them cope more effectively with all the different challenges of every day life.
